About Me

Austin, TX, United States
rubigirl photography was created out of my desire to capture special moments for my friends and family. i found so much pleasure in it that i decided to make a career out of it. i shoot in a photo journalist style as i love candid shots and feel it is the best way to capture a moment. the name rubigirl photography was born out of my love for my dog rubi. when she looks at you with her big amber eyes you know that you are the most important person in her life at that moment. i feel the same way when capturing a special event or time in a person's life, you are the most important person in my life at that moment. if you would like to contact me for information you can email me at RubigirlPhotography@gmail.com

c family

there are kids that you see on a regular basis, who you don't know, but you've always noticed for whatever reason. perhaps they are gregarious, or they have that beautiful hair that no adult naturally has. whatever the reason, they stand out. i have always noticed these two. i have noticed how polite they are, and how good natured they are, and how they legitimately like their parents. which is saying a lot given their ages. there is a genuineness to this whole family that made my session with them effortless.

need i say more?

baby k

i had a hard time narrowing down this session for my blog. there were so many great shots. i've known this mama for a while now and was so excited when i found out she was going to have a baby. it's now a year later and baby k has turned one. mom and dad are over the moon for her. its so amazing to be able to capture those expressions of love with my camera. it's what i love most.

s family

i loved working with this mama. she's all about props, which made for some super cute baby girls photos. her little guy had so much cuteness, props weren't needed for the great shots of him, well except for the giant teddy bear. but lets get serious, even i wanted to wrasle that bear.

the color sisters

i just love these girls. and getting to photograph them at their home was a dream. their mom has decorated each room so sweetly. i just wish it hadn't been so hot outside. they live on a great piece of property and it would have been great to get some photos out doors. curse you summer.

connections

i know we've all experience this. you meet someone for the first time and after a few minutes you just know that given the right circumstances you and they could end up being friends for life. i l o v e feeling that connection with someone, especially if i'm photographing them. i literally could have hung out with them for hours after our session just talking and listening to this families amazing story.
