erich & vivian

i loved meeting erich and vivian. vivian was incredibly sweet. she and her family made me feel so welcome as this was the first time i'd met them. the ceremony was lovely and centered around god in such an amazing way. i love this, there was a mix up with the wedding bands when they ordered them. erich and vivan weren't happy with them so while they wait for the right ones to arrive they chose to use cigar bands in the ceremony. there's a history behind this. when a groom wasn't able to afford a ring or it was a spontaneous engagement a cigar band was used until a proper wedding band could be purchased. what a fun way to make a frustrating situation positive. i only spent an afternoon with erich and vivian but have a feeling this is indicative of who this couple is. here are the high lights from the day.

this is my niece alyssa. she and i spent a fun morning at the park at southpark meadows getting these photos.

dave & marilisa

dave and marilisa are such dear friends of mine. i loved loved loved photographing them this morning. plus we were at my favorite place in austin, the new town lake park. the clouds cleared off and there was a beautiful breeze. it was 80 degrees out so unfortunately dave & merilisa were a little warm in their sweaters. they looked great though so it was totally worth it.
