About Me

Austin, TX, United States
rubigirl photography was created out of my desire to capture special moments for my friends and family. i found so much pleasure in it that i decided to make a career out of it. i shoot in a photo journalist style as i love candid shots and feel it is the best way to capture a moment. the name rubigirl photography was born out of my love for my dog rubi. when she looks at you with her big amber eyes you know that you are the most important person in her life at that moment. i feel the same way when capturing a special event or time in a person's life, you are the most important person in my life at that moment. if you would like to contact me for information you can email me at RubigirlPhotography@gmail.com

i took my daughter to get her hair cut today. i usually take her to one of those chain places, but decided after getting my hair cut this past week, i'd take her to tara, my stylist. i love her and was so happy to see payton does too.

you are here

last sunday we went to the san antonio zoo with my family. we couldn't have asked for a better weekend. it was actually cold outside when we got there, then warmed up to a beautiful 80 degrees. it's a beautiful zoo with lots of greenary boardering the pathways. my favorite exhibits were the flamingos, hippos...which were my favorite of all of them, and the butterflies.

the "dead leaves" in this one are actually butterflies.

this is my daughter and my grandmother riding in her sweet ride.

ahrnes family

i've mentioned before that i love my job because it has allowed me to spend time with some of my favorite people, friends. well, it's also given me opportunities to spend time with friends that i may not have had the chance to get to know outside whatever venue i happen to know them. hmm, that was a bit wordy. anyway, alma is one of those friends. she's my mom mentor at MOPs. i've loved getting to know her every other friday at our meetings. after spending a short time with she and her family in their home this past saturday i feel like i know her all the better.

this is a family that does not take itself too seriously and i loved that.
