About Me

Austin, TX, United States
rubigirl photography was created out of my desire to capture special moments for my friends and family. i found so much pleasure in it that i decided to make a career out of it. i shoot in a photo journalist style as i love candid shots and feel it is the best way to capture a moment. the name rubigirl photography was born out of my love for my dog rubi. when she looks at you with her big amber eyes you know that you are the most important person in her life at that moment. i feel the same way when capturing a special event or time in a person's life, you are the most important person in my life at that moment. if you would like to contact me for information you can email me at RubigirlPhotography@gmail.com

elsa and her kiddos

i had a great time this morning with elsa and her kiddos. mara and allen were really great sports, especially considering this was one of their last days of spring break and it was 9:00 in the morning. we did this shoot on s congress. there were a lot more people milling about than normal due to sxsw and the sun was a bit bright so we were limited on where we could shoot. but we found some great spots and got some great shots for elsa's hubby.

san antonio missions

sunday my hubby and i visited the 5 missions in san antonio. i've lived in austin most of my life and this was my first time to take the missions tour. we really enjoyed ourselves despite the gray day. the sun did come out just as we got to the riverwalk though. since it was sunday four of the missions were holding mass, the great thing was that at all of them we found....or i should say they found us....charming elderly hispanic men who were so excited to tell us about the their place of worship. that's my favorite way to learn history. it was a great day ended with a great meal at soluna.
