About Me

Austin, TX, United States
rubigirl photography was created out of my desire to capture special moments for my friends and family. i found so much pleasure in it that i decided to make a career out of it. i shoot in a photo journalist style as i love candid shots and feel it is the best way to capture a moment. the name rubigirl photography was born out of my love for my dog rubi. when she looks at you with her big amber eyes you know that you are the most important person in her life at that moment. i feel the same way when capturing a special event or time in a person's life, you are the most important person in my life at that moment. if you would like to contact me for information you can email me at RubigirlPhotography@gmail.com

lee kiddos

i have to say when the lee family contacted me for this session i was more than a little nervous to shoot four kiddos, that's a lot to try to organize, especially when your the mother of one. but these guys did GREAT. it was probably one of the smoothest sessions i've had in a while. i enjoyed my time with them and their silliness.

the deboub family

the deboub familiy invited me into their beautiful home for our session together. i love getting to photograph kiddos in their own environment, playing with toys and just being themselves. honestly they end up being the best pictures.

the combs family

i love the combs family. one, because they are my friends and two, because they choose fun locations to have their sessions. the funny thing is, like the last time, the sun was so bright that day. i was really worried we weren't going to get anything usable. but we DID! and i love this first shot.

the madole kopp families

it's always a joy to get to go into peoples homes to photograph them. especially one with a beautiful backyard. living in a city it's hard to find truly quiet backyards. this one was blissfully quiet. it was drizzly this day, so there wasn't a whole lot of wildlife stirring. but i imagine on a sunny day the birds chirping adds to the siren atmosphere.

the viet family

i was really excited when tara approached me about photographing her family while they were in austin for thanksgiving. i can't say how much i enjoyed getting to meet these folks. they were so easy to work with and made me laugh so much.

i've mentioned tara on my blog before, but i'll give her another shout out anyway. if you are looking for someone in south austin to cut your hair you should absolutely give her a try. her prices are awesome and the attention she gives to your hair is really refreshing. i've felt at salons in the past that they're just trying to get my hair cut so they can get to the next customer. you will not find that with tara. here's her number 401-7711 if you looking for someone new.
