About Me

Austin, TX, United States
rubigirl photography was created out of my desire to capture special moments for my friends and family. i found so much pleasure in it that i decided to make a career out of it. i shoot in a photo journalist style as i love candid shots and feel it is the best way to capture a moment. the name rubigirl photography was born out of my love for my dog rubi. when she looks at you with her big amber eyes you know that you are the most important person in her life at that moment. i feel the same way when capturing a special event or time in a person's life, you are the most important person in my life at that moment. if you would like to contact me for information you can email me at RubigirlPhotography@gmail.com

four generations

one of my favorite clients contacted me to photograph four generations of women in her family. i was totally stoked. i scouted out some locations and it was decided georgetown's town square would fit the bill. beautiful old architecture was the name of the game. i arrive in georgetown day, of only to find the whole downtown area blocked off. turns out it was the poppy festival. the streets were filled with booths and people. eep! stress....stress...stress.

it turned out fabulous, i even got a little shopping in. we ended up popping into a quaint bookstore then parked ourselves on a side street next to a nice old building. i love what we ended up with, curve balls and all.

oh! we also sprinkled in some more shots of her beautiful family as well

the "m" family

i'm in love with the domain as a location. so many fantastic textures, patterns and variety of styles. i can't get enough of it. especially the amazing wall outside of anthropology. simple, graphic and modern. i get tingles just thinking about it.

the "m" family, little "k" in particular, was a shining star. i absolutely love this first shot. so sweet and loving. little "k" was a spitfire, incredibly curious and on the go. i was soo happy to be able to capture this moment, almost missed it.

the 'v' family

part of me wants to look at my work and think i'm a total rockstar. i honestly love the work i do and the result of it. but, i have to give credit where it's due and ultimately that goes to the Lord. he has blessed me with a creative eye and a means of expressing it through the lens of my camera. he has also sent me amazing clients. all of which he is using to turn a dream into a carrier.

and now a sneak from one of the amazing clients, the 'v' family

the 'f' family

my session with the 'f' family was perfection. everything came together to create magic. i felt an ease with them from the very beginning, plus mom did such a great job coordinating colors and patterns and that made my job so fun. her sense of style is spot on. love love loved it.

baby 'b' is one

this is that last of my milestone sessions from last year. i can't believe all the little babies are a year old. it goes so fast, especially when it's not your own. i've loved photographing them and will miss them all.
