About Me

Austin, TX, United States
rubigirl photography was created out of my desire to capture special moments for my friends and family. i found so much pleasure in it that i decided to make a career out of it. i shoot in a photo journalist style as i love candid shots and feel it is the best way to capture a moment. the name rubigirl photography was born out of my love for my dog rubi. when she looks at you with her big amber eyes you know that you are the most important person in her life at that moment. i feel the same way when capturing a special event or time in a person's life, you are the most important person in my life at that moment. if you would like to contact me for information you can email me at RubigirlPhotography@gmail.com

{s} family

this family is amazing. i have so much respect for their passion for adoption and the orphans of the world. i always enjoy my conversations with this mom. whether frivolous or about justice for the voiceless, she gives me a perspective i generally haven't considered. she's also just plain fun to hang out with.

mayfield park is always a bit of a gamble. i never know if there's going to be a wedding going on or not. this was one of those days it was closed for a wedding. fortunately the area around it is just as pretty as the inside. this sweet pea has a sibling on the way. congratulations!!!

{h} family

editorial was all i could think as i edited the h families session. all the credit goes to the family. mom styled them to perfection. and this little man was such a blast to work with. his cuteness is effortless.

oh, i love the colors and the trees in theses photos. i sat down to edit this session with a sense of trepidation. when i showed up to our location, the domain, it was to find dogapalooza was going on. pop-up's and dogs everywhere. i put on my most confident face and said we can totally do this. and i'm in love with what we got.

head shots

really enjoyed hanging out with this awesome gal. she needed some head shots, so we met at mayfield park. it was a great choice and provided a beautiful back drop for these photos.

6 months old

baby S is 6 months old. having been born a little early she's a tinny tiny thing. but her personality has not been held back by that.

{s} family

this family is precious to me. i have known them since before we had children, we went through our first birthing class together and our first born's (is that even a word) have been great friends for the past 4 years.  to get to photograph their newest arrival was such a treat.

there is a free spirit to this family that you instantly fall in love with. so easy to photography, full of candid moments. just perfect.
