About Me

Austin, TX, United States
rubigirl photography was created out of my desire to capture special moments for my friends and family. i found so much pleasure in it that i decided to make a career out of it. i shoot in a photo journalist style as i love candid shots and feel it is the best way to capture a moment. the name rubigirl photography was born out of my love for my dog rubi. when she looks at you with her big amber eyes you know that you are the most important person in her life at that moment. i feel the same way when capturing a special event or time in a person's life, you are the most important person in my life at that moment. if you would like to contact me for information you can email me at RubigirlPhotography@gmail.com

jimmy, kandi, natalie, nate + molly

sunday afternoon was the perfect day to get some photos at mayfield park. i know kandi through MOPs, mothers of preschooler's, she's my table leader. i was excited to finally meet her hubby jimmy and the kiddo's. i hear so much about them at MOPs. natalie and nate kept me on my toes and molly was just adorable.

i loved so many of the photo from our hour, which made it hard to choose which one's to post...so i posted most of them.

steve + maggie

my hubby and i went to the engagement party of our dear friends steve and maggie on saturday. they are our one and only match making attempt, and as you can see it was a huge success. our friendship with these two goes way back and we are so happy to be able to be apart of this next stage in their lives. i can't wait for july 11th.

these are a few of my fav's from the day.

atomic ballroom

jerry and katie moved to austin not to long ago from California, where they ran a ballroom dance studio. i met these two, as well as their super cute daughter, about a week ago when we had lunch together after church. they're planning to reopen the studio, atomic ballroom, in austin. there's definitely a market for them here. with jerry's rockabilly style, i think they've come to the right city.

one of my favorite show's is "so you think you can dance". you can imagin my excitement when they asked me to spend a few hours with them to photograph their dancing. heaven!
